Dark mode for renowned messaging App “WhatsApp” has been making rounds to come to the messaging app since 2018, and even more hints last year about its release.
Now it’s 2020, and WhatsApp has taken the big leap on bringing dark mode to the messaging app, although for now, it’s for only those that enrolled in beta. So if you are a beta user on play store, you must have noticed the latest update on play store with dark mode.

After downloading, you can activate dark mode by heading into WhatsApp’s settings, then tap on Chat’s item, tap Theme and select “Dark”. You can also use “Set by Battery saver” if you want Dark mode to be activated only on Battery Saving mode otherwise just select “Dark”.
This Dark mode is not an AMOLED blackout theme, its just a paint job that makes it convenient to use the messaging app at night. Which in turn helps to avoid eye strain.
Adding to this, WhatsApp is the second non-google app to hit 5 billion downloads on play store after Facebook, that is huge.
