Facebook has since evolved from a single app to one that now offer products which help a lot of people connect with their family and friends. It offers vast communities and also help when it comes to growing businesses.
The Chief Marketing Officer of Facebook, Antonio Lucio said on FB NEWSROOM that the branding of Facebook logo will make all the products that come with Facebook to be more clearer, which will probably differentiate the Facebook app from the Facebook company.
He also said that the new Logo uses custom typography and capitalization to create visual divergence between Facebook company and the Facebook app. The new logo was totally designed for clarity.
Facebook owns products like Facebook app, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Portal, Oculus, Workplace and Calibra. The new Facebook logo makes it easy for people to know which companies make the products they use, because these apps and technologies i just listed, have share infrastructure for years now and has been working together all the time.
Facebook started to make things clearer to show that they own these products years ago, by adding a company endorsement to products like Oculus, Workplace and Portal. When we got to June this year they began including “from Facebook” within all their apps i.e Facebook app, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Calibra. The new brand within their products and marketing materials is said to be used in the coming weeks which also includes a new company website.
So watch out for the upcoming updates on all Facebook products. Note that this brand change is a better way which Facebook can use to communicate their ownership to everyone using their products and services to share, connect, and build communities.
